well guys another year another hidden anniversary but this year is a remix. admin maig who usually handles this is occupied so somehow that means the job has been left to me. please continue reading with the knowledge that i don’t really do this sort of thing, i am not good an sappy, long, emotional statements, and this whole thing is bound to end in more jokes than anything. also if it’s bad make sure to remember that i’m cross referencing the old posts maig has made for help so if mine is bad she is partially responsible.

no matter how much i joke or refuse to emote i really do have to say i am blown away by how long this rp has managed to keep going. when i first joined, back before the opening day, i truly thought i would be with hidden for two weeks at the longest and now here we are eight years later. back when i joined it was a time of rp hopping for me, seeing a place that looked interesting, sending an impulsive app, and ghosting shortly after. i went into this thinking it would be exactly the same. instead hiddenwashington has become so much more than i ever could have possibly imagined, it's grown and changed and stayed strong for what is starting to look close to a decade. it's absolutely unbelievable and so so special to me! i could not be more proud and grateful to be able to help build this incredible community and get to make amazing friends along the way.

okay checking the script next up is thanking the members so we'll do that now. to everyone who's been a member of hidden past, present, or future, i am sending a huge amount of love you way! this place simply would not be possible without all of you. i know a lot of us are busy, have so much going on outside of a silly tumblr rp, which makes it all the more incredible that so many of y'all have decided to take some of your precious free time and spend it writing silly characters here with us. these days i am absolutely awe struck every time we get a new member. knowing that people are still finding us here and having an interest in seeing what we're about is just absolutely insane i don't know what catches your eye but i am so happy something did. each and every one of you bring a super important personality to the dash and the ooc interactions. i can easily say that this rp has come to be so much more than just a place to write. for me and hopefully others it's also just a big social community and i have made so many important friendships through hidden. that wouldn't be possible without you guys who show up, look over our blog, and decide you want to give it a shot, so thank you!

we're now at the part where maig typically thanks the other admins. she's built with love in her heart and does like a full paragraph with everyone. i am not built like that. we're gonna rapid fire some thank yous and compliments and everyone's going to get what they get and be happy with it. alphabetic order let's go. aria, fc suggestions just simply would not get done without you. you're a pillar to getting things done. jodie, we would be screwed without you to check in on things in the morning. shoutout to maig and i for being incapable of managing admins with any timezone diversity. kasey, you're the best at hopping on and offering yourself out when there is something on the main other people don't want to do. there's always a lot i don't want to do, so i love that for me. and maig, we wouldn't be here without you starting the circus up, so congrats i guess. honestly can't believe we haven't run this place to the ground yet, so that's a win for everyone involved.

this is already longer than i thought i'd manage and i'll be honest i'm running out of juice. everyone here is really cool, even if spending a bunch of time on tumblr and discord writing collaborative fanfiction probably isn't the stuff people brag to their friends about. the point is i think you're all cool and my opinions are objectively correct. so thank you for being here, thank you for being cool people, and thank you for letting us keep this place running for yet another year. it really is overwhelming to think about how far this has gone and how much we've been able to do thanks to everyone here, and here's to another great year!

hello there, this is for all of you incredible amazingly talented people here in hidden !! under the read more you can read the message to all of you. i am not very good with writing down emotions and all of that ♡ daily reminder that everyone here are very talented writers, don't you ever forget it ^-^

i wanted to take the time first to say, how has it already gone 8 years ?? time really fly by fast. it's incredible we are still here, thank you to the amazing admins for keeping it alive but as well it wouldn't still be here without any of us members. we are all taking the time to sit down, writing those replies. people have come and gone over the years, as it happens. to those who have stayed here for a while now, its been absolutely fantastic getting to know you, to write with you. read those replies, threads on the dash, it brightens up my day. just escape reality for a while feels relaxing. everyone catch their muses voices in a detailed + fantastic way. being able to write my favorite characters makes me really happy. from the bottom of my heart, thank you for wanting to write with me, thank you for being the kindest most caring people i have met in the rp world. i am so happy getting to know you all.

everyone here are talented writers, don't you ever forget that as i wrote above. no matter from whichever country we are coming from, or if english isn't our first language ― it doesn't matter here. you do not judge people's writing, everyone are welcomed. everyone supporting each other in the ooc chat on discord, whether it is good or bad news. we are all there for each other, which show so much kindness. i love that. i love all of you !!

when i joined 8 years ago, i didn't think i'd been in a rp for this long. i left for a while, because life was crazy, as it probably has been for all of us. that's just life. but here we are, an escape for a while from all of it. here am i still standing, with more experience in writing. it is thanks to all of you, who take the time to write those replies even though i sometimes have difficult to still write in english sometimes. to be honest, this still wouldn't exist without us all here. to see so much love for a rp it is amazing.

to the admins: you are doing a fantastic job keeping up with everything on the main. to take the time writing up those events, to make the rp more fun, to give it more life. you never fail to write those events, even though they might be crazy sometimes ( but aren't we all a little crazy sometimes? ), but wow aren't they fun to write. to see what everyone do with it. i am amazed as well that you keep up with all of our craziness. that you are as well able to still give so much love to your characters, it shows the love you have for the rp too. we all do.

okay, i don't know what else to write other than everything i have written already. i am looking forward to this year, continue to write with everyone here, new and old members.

coming in with my own little anniversary post that i promise will not be anywhere near as long as my main posts usually are (sunny did me a huge solid this year fr). first off i wanna start with just a quick apology and a huge thank you for the patience and understanding y'all have had while i've been incredibly mia the past few months. my mental took a real hit with everything that's been going on health wise, but y'all have been so incredible and amazing and such a support system that it only goes to show how genuine and loving this community is. i don't know where i would be without hidden right now, when i started this place 8 years ago, i never in my life expected it to end up surviving, thriving, everything this many years later. but the love and dedication that you all have day in and day out has kept my baby going and i cannot thank you all enough. there's not enough words to describe the gratitude that i have for all of you, and for my admins. this is a family, a home for those who need it, a community full of talented, funny and caring humans that i am so proud of. thank you for eight years, hidden. happy anniversary ♥ here's to so many more milestones, laughs, and threads ♥ love always, admin maig
