He doesn’t have to be drunk to kiss you, and yes, it seems to be evolving into something akin to a hobby by this point. Kissing you was just so nice, and he’s not about to deny you (or himself) of that pleasure really.

      So he’s just going to smile at you and bump his nose against yours. “Today… No, I haven’t been drinking- I simply felt like giving you a kiss…” Or two— as proven by his next action which, surprisingly, is kissing you again.

     In all honesty it was the nose bump that first caused his blush, as well as causing a soft smile to pull at his lips. It was a simple gesture, but it was one of affection which just might have warmed his insides a bit. Hearing the other hadn't be drinking just made that small smile grow, as lips met once more he didn't stop a quiet chuckle- it was odd to him how pleasing such a thing could be (surprise kisses that is), but why focus on surprise when ones focus could instead be on how pleasing being kissed was?

    And yes he's returning the kiss much faster this time, though a bit shyly at least he's kissing back.

Amen. On top of your other points, it also adds a slight pressure to the RPer getting the compliment. Yet, I concur.
