What if, instead of telling a neocolonial fantasy, for El Dorado 2, someone writes El Dorado as a Wakanda-esque story where “el dorado” does exist but by a real word, and they somehow managed to exist undetected for this time for some cool reason. A 14-year-old person of indigenous descent stumbles into El Dorado and has to come of age balancing her new rediscovered/chosen identity in a new society and remembering her home and old self. Idk I think that could be cool. Someone should write it.
