Permission had not been gained, nor even attempted to be attained. T8 was filled with no purpose but his own, a thought nearly too terrifying to bear.

Superior would be wroth if she knew. Any operative would likely know ire at his presence. 

If they knew.

For now they did not. Superior was not even at base, the operatives engaged in their own activities, T8 largely ignored if he was not burdened with the accomplishment of an objective.

T8 had one now, but one still self-made. Surely that was a crime, against protocol, to determine his own actions, to sate his own insistent curiosity. To even be away from base like this, hours from those that held his leash, would no doubt earn him nothing but punishment.

The man he was in pursuit of, his father, what the slurring white-robe had also termed a…a papa, might even be angered.

A distressing thought, but T8 had come too far to hesitate. Had come too far to do anything but hover in the shadow of this rooftop, awaiting the presence of one that he evidently belonged to.

   It had felt like years since he last seen that familiar flash of red hair cross his path in the tower, gaze flicking up to her with a warm smile though she seemed to pass him by as if he wasn’t even there, features quickly shifting into a frown as he pushed himself to his feet and skipped in front of her, eyebrows raised softly. If he had done something to annoy her, he wasn’t aware, hoping that she was merely lost in thought. “You okay there? Walked right on by me without a word.”

Kass knew he would more than likely worry over her and want to know what happened. She really didn’t want to tell him she got beat up for being a mutant.
