1. A Popular Book or series that you didn’t like. The Divergent Trilogy by Veronica Roth. I really liked the first book when I read it and I liked the second one as well, just not as much as the first one. Then I read Allegiant and my love for the series kind of ended. It wasn’t because of the big thing that happened in Allegiant but when I finished the trilogy I realized that I just didn’t love as much as I did when I first read it. I still like the books, I just don’t like them as much as everyone else does.

2. A Popular Book or series that every one else seems to hate but you love. The Mara Dyer Trilogy by Michelle Hodkin, specifically the last book in the trilogy. A lot of people liked the books until the third book came out, and, personally, I happened to really like the last book. It’s actually one of a few last books in a trilogy that I like.

3. A Love Triangle where the main character ended up with the person you did NOT want them to end up with (warn ppl for spoilers) OR an OTP that you don’t like. Hook/Emma aka Captain Swan from the Once Upon a Time television show. I know that everyone loves these two together so much, but from the second that we met Hook, I just didn’t trust him. The entire time I thought he was going to do something to Emma or other characters on the show and for that reason I didn’t really allow myself to love him like the fandom does. Maybe my opinion will change after I watch the 4th season though because as of right now I’ve only watched up to the third season.

4. A popular book Genre that you hardly reach for. Paranormal. I’ll read a book from this genre if I see a lot of people raving about a certain book in the genre, but other than that I don’t really read a lot of paranormal.

5. A popular or beloved character that you do not like. Sebastian/Jonathan from the Mortal Instruments Series. I just don’t understand why people like him so much after all the things that he did, especially in the third book.

6. A popular author that you can’t seem to get into. Becca Fitzpatrick. I read her book Black Ice and I could not stand any of the characters and the only reason I finished it was because I wanted to watch the live show that Booksplosion was doing, and even then, I skimmed through more than half of it. I haven’t tried to read the Hush Hush books but I don’t think I will.

7. A popular book trope that you’re tired of seeing. (examples “lost princess”, corrupt ruler, love triangles, etc.)   Love triangles. They are so pointless and unrealistic. The only reason an author adds the extra person into the story is so that they could add some relationship drama, but really, it’s overused and that never happens in real life. The only time I like love triangles is if they’re done right, like the Infernal Devices trilogy and the Remnant Chronicles.

8. A popular series that you have no interest in reading. Fifty Shades.

9. The saying goes “The book is always better than the movie”, but what movie or T.V. show adaptation do you prefer more than the book? I actually liked the If I Stay movie more than the book. I think the book and movie were both done really well, but the movie stayed with me longer than the book did after it was over and it made me cry more than the book did.
