Autumn Gala Rebroadcast

So remember that super weird Autumn Gala broadcast with the signal incursion? Well, it just so happens that 191.9 AZAH is rebroadcasting the Gala, and because of some city charter, they're forced to rebroadcast it as it aired with the weird interruptions.

It's now playing every night at 5:00 PM. (That's Lovat Standard Time, btw) The signal interruptions happen at the end of the second and third hour.

The Camalote Group is not happy about it.

The city seems excited, however.

If anyone can make heads or tails from the numbers and the voice and the song, let me know.

Final entry tonight. Happy High Hallow everyone. I am exhausted. No more weird numbers or interruptions and the boring rich people ball is over. I got a party tomorrow—er, tonight—to attend, so I should get my rest. I'll share more thought when I get a chance. Thanks for hanging out with me.

It's Autumn Gala Time

Well, it's nearly High Hallow. If you listen to the radio, you know that means the Camalote Group is hyping up their yearly Autumn Gala. (Hashtag Autumn Gala, everyone!) New here? It's a big fundraising event for them—sponsored by this and that organization whose name we all recognize but whose actions we can't quite pin down. Oh, and it always features some old-person musician trying to stay relevant. Real crowd-puller.

Many of the ██████████ are invited, as well as most of the elevated citizenry in the city. More 'scrape than 'span, if you get my parlance. They always play a big game about tickets being available on a first-come-first-serve basis—open to everyone in the city. Not sure if I believe them. I've yet to see anyone other than the who's who of Lovat attend.

Anyway, if you follow this falderal, I'm sure you've seen it. They always share as much as they can through their regular channels. Like, it's not provably a scam, but the whole thing skeeves me out. I'm sure the ███ will have issues with this post but whatever. I'm tired and grumpy and sick of hearing about this.

Another desk photo! Haha, I am making this a trend.

I stumbled across this old photo yesterday. Before we know it High Hallow will be around the corner, and everyone will be talking about or working on their Romping costumes. Not sure my plan this year, so I was searching the PCU archives for old photos trying to spark an idea when I found this photo. At first, it amused me. So I took my own photo of this photo (i know, i know) since I wanted to share it here as well.

After I looked at it for a while, I felt bad that I was amused. On the one hand, I don’t blame these kids directly for engaging in an act that is tantamount to speciesism. Odds are they were encouraged by a teacher or their parents. I am sure at the time no one thought of what they were doing. Just silly dress up game in the spirit of the holiday.

But, in reality this sort of thing is offensive. The dauger are a noble people. Their masks are an important part of their culture and society. Seeing a bunch of human kids playing dress up and treating dauger culture as if it was a costume has to rub them the wrong way, right? After I thought about it, it just rubbed me the wrong way as well. Instead of being amused I just felt uncomfortable.

Thank the Shepherd this sort of behavior doesn’t go on anymore.
