Film Review | To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before (2018)
This seems like the first rom-com from Netflix that actually seems to get it really right, and on top of that, it’s a film that understands the gender politics of high school.
I loved Lana Condor being in control of the fake relationship dynamic, until it takes control of her - there’s so many stupid movies with the snarky guy in command, but it works so much better with it flipped. Shot with intention with some great staging and camera work, it’s a really solid cute film.
