We aren’t going to go into the meta of all the reasons why the writers of OUAT baited everyone with Swan Queen and how Regina and Emma were, indeed, supposed to be True Loves paralleling Snow White and Charming, because so many amazing writers and fans have done so many, many times.

But never, ever forget this most blatant example:

They legitimately dressed Regina in Snow’s outfit from when she met Charming (who Emma is dressed just like) for the first time. This occurs in an episode where Regina “meets” Emma for the first time.

And subsequently in this episode she famously makes this statement:

They knew EXACTLY what they were doing. Swan Queen WAS coded as TL and you are NOT delusional, crazy, etc… for seeing it. This is a clear and historic queerbaiting tactic.
