There's something delicious about playing a "by any means necessary" Gale romancing Astarion that's just so 💋👌 his unique dialogue after Gale creates the Shadow Lantern, brimming with approval for engaging in dark magic and how you're given the choice to essentially say "any boon for the cause is worthwhile", that AND with the Astarion romance parroting certain themes in Gale's personal story, I've loved playing a more "atheistic" Gale who's pissed Mystra goaded him and should've known better than to entice a mortal wizard like him, it's sooooooooo satisfying 😍 and then I'm gonna slay Cazador and Astarion and Gale will profess true love to one another, and then Halsin joins in for fun on a friends-with-benefits bent
