((So I kinda wanna demonstrate a bit of Ragatha's relationship with her hobbies/interests/skills/etc. and the difference between doing them for an audience to people please and doing them for herself and maybe whoever she feels she can be herself in front of.
Aside from softball, which was an activity she chose and had to convince her mother to let her play, all that stuff was stuff her mother made her learn. For being a good future wife and mother and/or bragging rights ofc. But behind her mother's back, Ragatha learned to experiment with them and make them her own. Sure, she can play Bach and Beethoven, but she's also taught herself songs she heard on the radio that her mother would not approve of. Same with sewing, knitting, cooking- She's found ways to make them enjoyable for herself and not just something her mother can show off. And it's very personal to her.
I think the best way to demonstrate the difference between performing for other people and performing for herself is in piano. Not that there's much of a chance for her to play for an audience unless they flood in her room, but you know-
This is the kinda shit she'll play for an audience. And this is what she'd do for herself.
[also this song came out like 2004 so she would know it, don't at me-]
Like, you get what I mean, right?
And the reason she doesn't usually play like the latter around others is because, again, it's personal to her. And because she's convinced people won't like her for who she is, it's also very private.
Not to say she's never played for herself around someone. She did for Kinger, back before his decline, as well as Owl's Sally muse and Reaver's OC Cashmere. Because Kinger, Sally, and Cashmere are people she genuinely feels safe to be herself around.
Does any of this make sense? idk but kvkvjfjfjfjf))
