Criticism
How we perform as children gives us feedback, how “well” we did at the task, and how did we “feel” about ourselves. When we face criticism it makes us doubt what we’re doing and can steer us off course. The more confidence and fortitude we have we can brush off all the criticism that comes when we try something new or practice a skill. There is so much criticism when we dress differently from our peers, and they want us to conform to fit in with the rest. Criticism will not stop us when love ourselves and have support when times are rough.
We will achieve what we set out after if we keep going and don’t get discouraged. When we practice a new skill and can’t be perfect, will the criticism keep us from trying it again. We need to learn how to take criticism so it doesn’t take us in a different direction. We can learn from the criticism others share if our egos don’t get in the way, everything has information to guide us. All people face criticism.
Brush it off,
Does it stop us,
Hard to take.
When we want to try something new, it takes all we have, to take the first step forward. Success comes from practicing over and over again and if we can take the criticism we will succeed. The better we feel about ourselves, it won’t destroy our belief we can do it when the criticism comes from those around us. When we face criticism, keep going, this creates peace and joy.
