Looking up as he chewed on his malasada, he raised an eyebrow at the woman. There were plenty of open seats around them inside the café, so it made him wonder why she specifically wanted the one across from him, but he simply shook his head and swallowed. “No…go ahead.”

He blinked as he was pressed into her shoulder; he had no idea who she was or what she wanted but he didn’t appreciate being touched so familiarly like this. Cross tried to pull away, but her grip was strangely firm and it caused him to go into a slight panic. “Who are you? Let go of me!”
