Random lunch time drawings from my mini sketchbook. Everyday I have to sit on duty and watch the bathrooms (yeah exciting). So to keep myself sane I draw. It keeps me sharp and work out random thoughts and ideas. A side effect is it gets teenagers and coworkers interested in art. I always get asked questions about what I am drawing, it’s that time I strike up conversation with them and try to make those personal connections. The connections that make students feel heard and special. As we go through our day dealing with the stresses of life, take time to stop talk with our fellow humans. Bottom shelf of the first bisque kiln for my ceramics class. No explosions so I’ll say that’s a success. They listened, they followed the directions, each piece was marked with their signature stamp, no piece had a wall wider than a pinky, and all attachments stayed in place.
