Here's the latest shop cart/workshop improvement in the big Labor Day shop upgrade. If you recall from a few posts back, I had a shelf up on the wall with all my finishing supplies on it. It helped to get them localized, but they certainly weren't organized. I've had a finish cabinet on my list forever and finally made one. The inside is about 5" deep and holds various sizes cans on custom sized shelves. The door is about 3.5" thick and has shelves sized for spray cans. I finished the outside with pegboard since it's right next to the tablesaw so I could keep accessories close by. Lots of dadoes, rabbets and tight tolerances went into this build and it was a great skill builder. Gave lots of practice on things I don't do very often. This was made from a rough drawing and measurements taken on the fly based on what needed to go in it and the space I had to build in. All made from materials on hand, which was one of my other goals: use up some sheet goods! It's not perfect, but it's very functional, and that's all I ask for in workshop furniture. Pretty happy with it so far! . , . . . . #wood #woodwork #woodworker #woodworking #workshopimprovements #workshop #woodshop #pine #scrap #scraps #finewoodworking #laborday #labordayweekend #hustle #workingontheweekend #maker #handmade #handcrafted #skills #skillbuilder #thejawnshop
