31.12.15 i caught his eye from across the room but i was already turning him over in my mind with eyes like moons and caramel skin, i wanted to know how he tasted. he waltzed to me like he owned the world and smiled like i was a mountain view, he took my hand between his own and he told me his name. i twirled my hair around my finger and held his eye like i was sinking as he told me about how blades of grass bow at his feet and flowers pick themselves for him and i told him of how i came alone. he grinned and the stars shone from his smile as he breathed my name and his lips whispered against mine. when he turned his head i slipped away like ink into the night sky and watched from afar as he stood slowly with a shake of his head. he charmed his way to the egress, asking where i might have gone and as his caramel hand laid against the door i heard him say, "she makes lonely look so good."
