I was wondering if higunana/nanahigu had a portmanteau ship name in the Japanese language, but I couldn’t find anything on it. So I’m going to make it up on my own

(Please keep in mind that I’m not familiar with Japanese. I took a class for it back in elementary for a year but I was shit in it. I might sound stupid and for that I’m sorry)

Now obviously there’s 【七】(nana), the first kanji letter in Nanami’s name. The general meaning to it is seven (7). Then there’s 【日】(hi), Higuruma’s first kanji letter in his name. It has a couple of meanings such as day, a counter for days, and sun (sunflower motif, anyone?). The Japanese spelling for Japan itself includes the kanji as well 【日本】(Nihon)

Combining the two we get 日七/七日 (pronounced either hishichi or nanoka together, but based on their individual kunyomi it’s hinana/nanahi), which translates to “seven days”

One Week Until Posting Beings!

It’s almost that time again! The posting period for JJK Rare Pair Fest 2026 begins in one week! Posting will take place from Monday August 10th to Sunday August 16th, 2026, but don’t worry, if you’re joining us late, or have been strapped for time, we always accept late entries. Mods will monitor social media until mid September to boost tagged works for the event and the AO3 collection will NEVER close, so you can always add works to it that were made for this event.
