wtf what colour are peacocks

brown. males just have a sheen, thanks to structural colouration. essentially they have an oil-like coating that refracts light, making them look blue/green. it’s why they’re so iridescent as well.

most “green” birds are actually yellow. most “blue” birds are actually brown.

nature makes a fool of us all.

what kind of books do u like? Thrillers are good I find for like keeping my attention and being pretty easy to get through. I read a good one a while ago I’ll try and remember the name

it was ‘before I go to sleep’ by s.j. watson! There’s a movie version apparently. It was a good read and i don’t think it had any triggering stuff other than unreality/confusion abt what’s real/what isn’t (if that makes sense)

i’ve started reading so many books..... my pile is so large. i like short stories a lot. especially if they’re themed or linked (one of the books i’m reading is a safe girl to love; one of my favourites of all time is no-one belongs here more than you). i like things that are creepy also. stories that linger for whatever reason. like yann martell and marcus zuzak’s books. ali smith. she’s good. fantasy is (y), sci-fi too. finished man who fell to earth and it made me cry, it was good. god idk. i just don’t feel like reading atm. 

pls recommend me books anyway!! i dunno about genres because my brain doesn’t really work in genres. but i’m good with authors. i will check this book out cause i do like books that invoke unreality haha

this used to be all day every day then i got on meds then i stopped needing to take my meds during the day but now its coming back and i need to take my meds for the day too like why
