Me:

a self-conscious hijabi

checks to see if hijab is on properly

checks for any deviant baby hairs that want to pop out and say hi

makes sure hijab covers the chest

sometimes pins it in place over chest so it doesn’t move...

Me in a dream:

hijab comes off right away

tries to grab hijab pins but they keep rolling away

thousands of non-mahrams see hair

sometimes flirtation happens with those non-mahrams (astaghfirallah)

gets lost in hallways looking for a bathroom to put hijab on

never finds one

Hair thinning after wearing hijab

Hey girls! I want to know how you you deal with hair loss and you hair is getting thinner mostly because of wearing hijab! I just cut my long hair this summer, and im trying to treat it healthy but i don’t know what to do

How do treat your hair and getting thicker than it used to be?

To those who think I’m oppressed or force to wear hijab....let me tell you that I’M NOT FORCED AT ALL

Its my choice....a religious one or a fashion statement or just cause I wanna wear one but I’m never forced. So please stop saying that I’m being abused/forced/oppressed cause I wear hijab 🤦🏻‍♀️

Never thought I'd ever say this or think I'd ever reach this point in my life but I'm tired of wearing hijab and I'm beyond tired of the limitations it comes with it. I've been thinking about it for the past 5 years but never seriously. But tonight after trying my best to shop for hijab I reached my breaking point. I really want to take it off but obviously can't due to other things going on in my life. I'm tired of looking for lengthy blouses, I'm tired of repeating the same things over and over. I'm tired of people' whispers at work saying "she gets paid really well why can't she dress like it?" I'm seriously just tired of it all. One day I will take off my hijab completely and dress as I please but still modestly at the same time if that makes sense. I've had it and I swear to god it's only a matter of time till I actually do it. But not right now, it's bound to happen eventually
