Oooooh,thanks! I knew there had to have been an explanation, because it’s a little bit too obvious a mistake to make. I’m glad the anime made it so much gayer (which, to be fair, that explanation is already weak, i still think that was just Haru wanting to carry Yuki)

Actually, no. They do have civilian and superhero names. If you listen to Retasu, she says “Retasu” when introducing herself but says “Lettuce” when transforming (no “u” at the end). The girls have civilian and superhero names. It’s just hard for the average native English speaker to notice unless they look at the original Japanese manga or an anime script. The 3 girls are Minto / Mew Mint, Retasu / Mew Lettuce and Bu-ling / Mew Pudding (She’s Chinese).

fair enough. I did notice that the subtitles do spell if differently and I expect I’ll get used to it eventually. It was very unexpected for the names to be so similar, all the mg shows I’ve seen before now either have the girls keep using their real names, or give them completely different ones as magical girls.

A few years ago, I regularly watched a stream from a YouTuber named HikaYagami.  In these streams, I would chat with the name Ichigo in a bright pink font and have fun with the other watches.  I had won a few of her contest and one prize I got came with a letter, and I was never really able to thank her.  So,  if this reaches you Hika-chan, I want to say thank you for everything.

Well, they might be putting more budget into it (just a guess). That and the fact that Yamato's VA recently recovered from throat issues. So they probably haven't started recording for it yet.

Oh it makes sense! Totally forgot about Yamatos VA. I really hope the long wait means even better works
