While I'm thinking about it, 臆病 (okubyou) and 卑怯 (hikyou) also are not the same word.

臆病　okubyou:

cowardly, timid, easily frightened

[normal cowardice]

卑怯　hikyou:

cowardice, meanness, unfairness

[underhanded cowardice; cowardice (derogatory)]

評価する　hyouka suru

So the given definition is to evaluate something, but it seems like it frequently means to evaluate positively, like that “get a good grade in” meme. If something’s been hyouka-ed and a result isn’t stated, it’s probably been found to be favorable.

改めて　aratamete

The jury’s still out on this one as far as I’m concerned, but… I always thought it meant “once again”, but I’ve also seen people say it means “formally”. There are situations in which it could mean both those things, like 改めて紹介します allow me to formally introduce (something/someone) [as opposed to the audience previously non-formal knowledge of the thing], but I might just be wrong about this one.

卑怯　hikyou

So this one has both meanings I’m going to mention, I just didn’t know about one of them, whereas I heard from someone who seemed to only know about the other one. I always thought it meant cowardly, but it seems like it can mean underhanded (as in cheating) as well. Still have to keep my eye on this one too.

About to finish Kongou Banchou, a manga by Nakaba Suzuki (the same author of seven deadly sins) and I really liked it, especially the art style that is basically the same of the one of seven deadly sins so I wanted to do a drawing about it 🤷🏽‍♂️

Vol.6 藍島~後編~

いよいよ藍島上陸!!!

そこに待ち受けていたのは...

猫猫猫...猫!!!!!!

まさに猫島です。

出会ってすぐ奪われたカレーパンをめぐって臨戦態勢の猫ちゃんたち...

んんんんん~かわいいっ!!

戦いの後も、ぞろぞろぞろぞろ...と私たちの後ろについてくる猫たち...もう

食べ物持ってないぞ!!!

しばらく歩くと洞窟のようなトンネルが・・・そして一方通行ではないんで

す・・・

横切った車には、ナンバープレートが、、ない!!!!!!!!

一応、公道じゃ・・ないの・・??

そんなことはもちろん気にせずくつろぐ猫。

かわいい・・・のでよしとします。

それにしても猫たちは至る所から出る出る出る・・・

いったい何匹いるんだろう。。

今回だけで出会った猫ちゃんは約40匹!!!

まだまだいそうだ・・・

聞けば藍島へ行く途中に止まる馬島にも猫が大量発生しているよう。

猫好きの方はぜひぜひ!会いにきてください!!!!

Vol.6　藍島〜前編〜

今回は少し遠出しまして、藍島（別名猫島）へ行ってきました。

皆さん、藍島へ行ったことはありますか？

実は意外にも小倉港から船で30分で着きます。

船酔いにすらなりません。　

※個人差があります。

しかも往復８００円となんともリーズナブル！！！！

さっそく購入し、猫島と言うだけあってきっとたくさんの猫たちに会えるのだろうデュフフ

と期待を込めて船に乗り込みました。

この日は風も気持ちよく天気もよく、水平線の彼方までよく見渡せました。

しかし、いくら気持ちがよく景色も綺麗だからといって調子に乗りすぎると

思わぬアクシデントに遭遇してしまいますよ。（笑）

とりあえず、帽子はカバンの中へ。

さすが北九州。

昼の工場景色も最高です。

ついた、藍島！！！！

船を降りると、可愛い住人がお出迎えしてくれました。

次回！猫好き必見！！！

藍島で猫まみれ乞うご期待。

Vol.4　リバーウォーク14階？

　　　

皆さんリバーウォークは６階だけだと思ってませんか？

普通ならここまでしか行くことは出来ません。

実はリバーウォークには14階まであるのです。

今回は6階より上に行くことが出来る方法を紹介します！

　

4階の朝日さんさん広場の横の連絡通路を通れば行けるらしいので、

さっそく行ってみました。

朝日新聞連絡口と書かれていて、関係者以外立ち入り禁止感が漂っています。

恐る恐る入ってみる。

通路の看板に地図の資料館って書いてあるので一安心。

そして、通路の先には真っ白で高級そうな空間が・・・

確かめるべく、恐る恐るエレベータを待つ

　　

そしてエレベーターには14階までのボタンが！！！

さっそく行ってみましょう！

　　　　　

　　

　

　

するとそこには、ゼンリン地図の資料館が目の前に！

せっかく来たので入館しました。

　　　

　　

地図の資料館だけど只の地図だけでなく、子供向けパズルやバーチャル地図があって楽しめました！

そして何よりも14階からの景色が素晴らしかったです！

　

入館料100円なんですが、全然お釣りが来るレベルでした。
