In the event of an earthquake, Martha (named after Martha Washington, who owned her grandmother, although that had ended abruptly when her grandmother was bit, because it’s a little hard for humans to keep werewolves as slaves) has a plan, and the plan mostly involves turning wolf and grabbing Lucia and getting the hell out of dodge. Or Redmond. Whatever.
Martha works for the Unseelie Court as a bodyguard, because wolf, of course, and right now the Pacific Northwest Court is based in Redmond because Microsoft, of course, and the best part of this is the King County Library System.
Libraries, of course, are magical spaces. KCLS is one of the largest library organizations in the country. If anyone knows how to get out of an Unseelie Court contract, it would be them. (Or NYPL but their librarians are rumored to be Light instead of neutral, and that could get messy.)
The idea is to take Lucia with her. At least, that was the idea, except Lucia gets an assignment to recruit a human, and then comes back with him, and now he’s following her around, and Martha can physically watch her life getting more complicated.

Top five problematic faves?
1. percy weasley - as mentioned in a recent post he is one of my top 3 fictional sons but also a problematic fave and thus makes it into the top spot on this list
2. the phantom of the opera himself - honestly he is so horrible that he probably exceeds the definition of Problematic, and i dont like him that much as a character, however he is the reason i started playing the organ (he truly was a problematic fave in the past) and i therefore owe at least one university offer and a reasonable income to him so
3. rachel duncan - i LOVE rachel, she is objectively a highly unpleasant person but i also feel so sorry for her and im very glad that as of the s3 finale (#obspoilers) she is in a relatively safe place HOPEFULLY i love rachel
4. enjolras - i dont want to get into a massive fandom drama storm by explaining why i count enjolras as #problematic but he has been a longstanding member of my community of fictional sons, even though ive been less attached to him as of late
5. caleb knight from casualty - he is a complete JERK at times but that One Emotional Scene that happened after ethan was in a car crash propelled him from the realms of “get off my television screen i detest your existence” to “damn, looks like another problematic fave”
