That truck post made me flick back through old pics and oh. I'm being too harsh on the current Ranger. The double cab on that Hilux left very little bed space too. Meanwhile our grotty old Ranger had incredible load space thanks to the king cab config. Sad we couldn't have customised the new one similarly — we had a choice of four, and they were all double cabs.

Oops. Thought this was gonna be catastrophic, but it turned out a clip had poinged off and dumped all our coolant. The engine did not give a shit. We refilled the system and the Ranger lived to whine another day.

The Hilux in its rusty glory. Peak truck design. Good job Toyota. Unsure why it needed the doodle scrawl down the side but whatever.
