Trump dares Sessions to prosecute Democrats for a change
President Trump said Friday that Attorney General Jeff Sessions should focus his attention on Democratic corruption for a change if he wants to show he's not interested in having politics influence his department's work. “ook into all of the corruption on the 'other side' including deleted Emails, Comey lies & leaks, Mueller conflicts, McCabe, Strzok, Page, Ohr, FISA abuse, Christopher Steele & his phony and corrupt Dossier, the Clinton Foundation, illegal surveillance of Trump Campaign, Russian collusion by Dems - and so much more… Come on Jeff, you can do it, the country is waiting!” Trump posted to Twitter early Friday morning. Trump was responding to a Sessions statement that he will "not be improperly influenced by political consideration," which Trump said was "GREAT." “Department of Justice will not be improperly influenced by political considerations.” Jeff, this is GREAT, what everyone wants, so look into all of the corruption on the “other side” including deleted Emails, Comey lies & leaks, Mueller conflicts, McCabe, Strzok, Page, Ohr...... — Donald J. Open up the papers & documents without redaction? Come on Jeff, you can do it, the country is waiting! — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 24, 2018 Sessions' statement was part of another back-and-forth between Trump and his attorney general. Trump accused Sessions of never fully taking control of his department, after which Sessions fired back that he is in full control, and that he would not be swayed by politics. “While I am Attorney General, the actions of the Department of Justice will not be improperly influenced by political considerations,” Sessions released in a statement Thursday. “I demand the highest standards, and when they are not met, I take action.” Statement from the Attorney General pic.twitter.com/eMF0CPXLZZ — Sarah Isgur Flores (@SarahFloresDOJ) August 23, 2018 The Twitter battle led some to think Trump might again be tempted to fire Sessions. But Senate Republicans have warned the president that if he were to fire Sessions, they are not sure they would be able to confirm a replacement. Trump said in another tweet that Sessions was operating under a double standard when sentencing former National Security Agency contractor Reality Winner to 63 months for leaking classified information instead of looking into Hillary Clinton’s actions. “Ex-NSA contractor to spend 63 months in jail over “classified” information. Gee, this is “small potatoes” compared to what Hillary Clinton did! So unfair Jeff, Double Standard,” Trump said. Winner plead guilty to leaking classified information and was sentenced Thursday to spend more than five years in prison. Read the full article

Nunberg Meltdown! The Russiagate Show Continues.
It’s been an action-packed week in the Russiagate saga, even though it’s only Tuesday.
On Monday Trump’s personal attorney Michael Cohen was going around making some complaints. Apparently, Trump ordered Cohen to make a six-figure payment to a porn star he allegedly had an affair with. Cohen is said to be unhappy that he hasn’t been reimbursed.
Then Russiagate took a trip to Bangkok and a steamy…
