hello rpc !  as i’m sure some of you are aware, there is an anon that has been going around messaging a lot of accounts about our roleplay and the ethnicity of the mendes family. originally, we left it open to all latinx ethnicities to be a part of the family given it is extremely rare for a latinx family to actually get played out in a family rp and we wanted to give them it’s best chance to thrive. however, there was another way of going about it that was better from the start, and i should have seen that. as of now, all of the children in our mendes family are adopted.

to the person who has been sending hate about us around, i would like to say one thing. sending us a message on anon one time baiting us into an argument over ethnicity is not the way to address an issue. sending anons to everyone in the talk tags is not the way to address an issue. our ims have always been open, and we would have happily discussed it with you off anon. we are not unreasonable people here, we’re just trying to make a roleplay for us and our members to enjoy. 

that’s all i’m going to say on the matter, and i hope it hasn’t put a damper on anyone’s day.

i hope you guys are ready for this, friends ! we’ve been here for two months now and you guys have been amazing and brought us great plots and well-written characters, we thought we’d bring in a little surprise to spicy things up ! we have also got a lot of questions/requests about this we just had to give the people what they wanted. without further ado, let me introduce you to our four new families  —  the delgados, the valentis, the charmichaels and the eldridges ! they arrives with some juicy secrets and plotlines and we can’t wait to see the drama they will bring !

alright everyone, time to get serious for a minute !  now that the roleplay has been open for nearly a month, we’re all starting to find our footing and get more and more comfortable. however, sometimes when we’re comfortable, we fall into some bad habits that we may not even realize we have. so, this is just a friendly reminder to make sure you’re doing all that you can to try and have a plot or a thread going on with as many people in the rp as possible !  we all have connections and threads that we get more in the mood for over others, but we still need to be replying to others and beginning threads with different people rather than constantly replying back and forth to the same person. so, as i’ve said before, this is your friendly challenge to reach out to someone you haven’t threaded with yet, or give some love to some open starters !

while we’re on the note of reminders, i’d also like to talk about the discord. just a reminder to be courteous when it comes to acknowledging the conversation already going on and not to talk over people. also, have a think about what could be sent in ims to your writing partners rather than spoken about in the discord, as at times it can feel like one dynamic has the monopoly on the conversation rather than it being a place we can all talk. this isn’t targeted at one specific person, and we have largely been very good at not doing this, it’s just a few things we should all keep in mind in the future !

happy one month anniversary everyone !  that time went by so fast, i can’t believe it’s been a month since we opened already. i’ve been so stoked by how dedicated you’ve all been to creating characters and plotlines, and i can’t wait to see what else you bring to the table in the months to come. happy roleplaying, everybody !

hello, lovelies ! this post is coming a little later than planned because both jord and i weren’t feeling too hot this morning but better late than never, right? today marks our very first meme day ! we have decided to pick a specific meme instead of having multiple ones going. we hope that that will we can be sure everyone will get plenty of ask in their inbox. in a moment i will be reblogging a meme here on the main and you guys are free to reblog that if you wish to participate ! make sure to send something to everyone who reblogs the post too ! on top of that meme, you guys are also welcome to do an honesty day; post those inbox and let people come with their own questions. if anyone has any questions about it, i’ll be around. have fun !

i just wanted to post a quick reminder for members that if you are on activity check, you must post three replies on each character to be considered active again. if only one or two replies are posted, the character will still be unfollowed as per our guidelines.

the time has come, the walrus said ! that’s right, it’s finally time for us to open for interactions ! of course at the start there aren’t going to be many starters on the dash, but once there are at least three or five around, make sure you’re replying to them before posting one of your own ! i won’t be on the main too much today as i want to focus on writing with everyone, but i will be checking in throughout the day. 

i just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone that applied ! this rp has been a bit of a passion project of mine for weeks now, and it’s been an idea in my head even longer than that. seeing all the interest and support rolling in makes me super mushy, and i’m really happy with how this is all turned out. also, i need to give a massive shoutout to our very own rory ! she made all of the lovely graphics for the roleplay and wrote a few of our families, so major props to her for keeping me sane as we put all this together.
