Today we showcase a very special luncheon! Liko Lehua at Pauahi is a local family owned and operated restaurant on Pauahi Street in Hilo. Kicked off today’s luncheon with a set of appetizers. First up, is the bread and cheese appetizer. Brie with strawberry jam topping, mozzarella topped with pesto, fresh mozzarella with Mac nut, salami with cheese and thinly sliced yellow pepper, prosciutto and crostini. Second order is called the Bottom of the Basket; batter opakapaka, fried calamari rings, onion ring and fries, all with Liko Lehua’s signature dipping sauces: sweet chile, tartar & garlic aioli sauce. Finally, the Greek Salad & Fresh Catch: a fresh spinach salad with spinach fettuccini, sun dried tomatoes, marinated artichoke hearts, kalamata olives topped with feta and a house caesar dressing and a side of fresh, medium seared to perfection Ono. Not to mention, a large glass of Big Wave and a Moscow Mule to wash it all down! An special, absolutely amazing luncheon experience!
