                    she doesn’t say anything at first. lets herself be dragged into abyo’s arms without complaint. abyo always gives the best hugs. big and warm and caring. its like being hugged by a bear. she wrestles herself out eventually, because she can’t breathe. pucca can’t bring herself to speak  ---  regresses to SILENCE when the world is too loud  ---  but she tries to thank him, if not with a smile than with the crease of her eyes. abyo can read it, she thinks; she talked far less when they were children.

[in modern verse ching steps back in middle school, realizing that abyo isn’t really responding to her advances. she feels embarrassed of how she used to treat him. they’re still friends, they still hang out, but it’s like there’s a huge gap between them now. an awkward space they don’t know what to do with. because she still loves him, and it’s only growing stronger the older they get. and they probably go to different schools bc ching goes to a special art high school. so that pining and that feeling of being too late at realizing you love someone. and just!!!!! her eyes jump from where she’s sharpening her swords to his always-shirtless figure and back again. then her eyes widen and she drops her swords, her brain fully registering what she’d seen. abyo’s shirt torn to sheds and bloody. his face with a gash down one cheek. she’s at his side in a second, helping him fully into the dojo and into a seat against one of the walls they kept for parents who wanted to watch. she steadies him and steps back, fully assessing the damage. most of the wounds only looked skin deep, but the cut on his face went deep. it might need stitches. “what the hell happened to you?” she twitches her fingers in and out of fists as she resists the urge to grab her swords and go after who’d done this. ching was rarely a vengeful person, but abyo looked like he’d been through a wood-chipper. she keeps her eyes on his. “what happened abyo?”

what's ching's favorite flower?

she doesn’t have a single favorite. she loves flowers. they’re one of her passions. she has favorite bouquets. ching was not only born in spring, but it’s her favorite season! anything that feels teeming with life will bring her joy! you can’t go wrong with buttercups or violets or roses. but they better be real and you better have everything she needs to keep them alive!

ching's favorite fod and drinks??? this is all a coincidence,

ching loves sweets, sours, and spices! she loves anything with some kind of kick, whether it be from the sugar rush, the sour punch, or the spicy smack. ching loves to feel ladies and gents! you can’t go wrong with candy of any kind. her favorite comfort food is her favorite noodles from goh rong, prepared only by pucca because she knows how she likes it best. her favorite drinks refresh from whatever kick her food gives her, like lemon water or easily sweetened iced tea. but it has to be steeped tea sweetened and then poured over ice. she can tell the difference.
