well how bout Operetta and Holt :)?
Of course! :)
-------------------------------------
The best thing about Operetta is that she understands. She's not the nicest or the softest, not at all, but she knows how it is. She knows what it's like to be pushed off to the side and treated like...well, like a monster. When Holt tells her about how he grew up ignored, unwanted, with toys that just weren't him and clothes that buttoned up too high, she's oddly sympathetic. She tells him that her empathy with this kind of stuff runs in the family, you could say, and puts on another record. The mix of eclectic percussion and twangy guitars resonates in his ears, his blood pumping to the beat, and he lays his head in her lap.
When he thanks her for listening (nobody listens), she just dismisses it with an "It's nothin', suga," and that's that. She might get it, but that doesn't mean he gets to make a fuss about it. They spend a lot of late nights like that, with Holt's head in her lap, never-still lips spilling confession after confession, with the music embedded deep in their veins.
