lol imo there's a huge diff. between himym and gg. at least w gg there had always been consistency. himym actually intended on making the ending w ted and the mother but then at last minute they decided to go back to the ted/robin ending. the ted/mother ending is considered the alternate ending on the dvd. also the thing w himym is that the ending ruined other characters endings as well like barney and bringing back ted/robin was out of nowhere because they ended that many seasons before.

Yeah, I really wouldn’t know because I never watched the series, but it seems like the reaction to that was much stronger than the reaction to Rory’s end in the revival.

How I Met Your Mother - the show that managed the impossible and then fucked everything up :’)Imagine your show revolving around this mystery woman and then having to deal with the pressure of creating a wildly well received female character so that the entirety of your show doesn’t feel like a let down. Imagine achieving this nearly impossible task and introducing a character loved by the masses, only to then kill her off and shove your protagonist with his original love interest, who incidentally had an entire season dedicated to her wedding with another man.I will forever be bitter. They managed to create a well received character that appeased the masses and then they fucked it up… istg I will forever be bitter with the end of this show. And this is coming from someone who disliked Robin x Barney and used to really love Robin x Ted. I can’t imagine what the poor Robin x Barney shippers must feel like. sigh...

Accepting that TO will never be good or watchable is actually quite freeing. TO series finale is going to surpass that True Blood one in a crazy bad way that will be beyond our wildest imaginings. Did you hate the HIMYM finale too?

LMFAO agreed. I mean just think about how god awful the season finales have been for TO, just imagine when they have to close out the entire series. But I never watched HIMYM, thank god.

Rewatching HIMYM and wow so much of Robin's dialogue from S1 is like textbook aromantic, like this pouring-her-heart-out scene on the roof with Ted during the Halloween episode: "I want to want that, but I don't..." "Am I wired wrong?" "What if I'm just a cold person?" Like hot damn where are my aro Robin Scherbatsky headcanons? Hell, give me aromantic bisexual Robin Scherbatsky who goes out clubbing with Barney and sleeps around and has a friends-with-benefits arrangement with her favorite wingman and finds Lily really attractive back.
