Danganronpa x Persona

Mirrored Selved.

Hello! My name is Rookie, and today I decided to share one of my biggest fanfics: Mirrored Selves.

What it is? Simple put it's a fanfiction I've been working since 2019, in which the Persona and Danganronpa universe coexist in one.

The protagonist of this story is none other than Hajime Hinata, a character who I believe is the perfect personification of The Fool Arcana and the Ability of the Wild Card.

Like a number 0 but with endless possibilities.

So let's dig in if I've got your attention ^^

Let's tackle the points! I don't plan on focusing in just one class in specific. My goal is actually having the three classes in one same story, and create a Persona Team with a mix of characters from each cast.

So that means everyone will be around the same age gap. This is also a non-despair AU, which means Junko never ended the world, but every Persona event up until Persona 5 Strikers have taken place! To be precise a couple years after the last adventure the Phantom Thieves had.

In this story the characters from the Danganronpa cast will embark in their own Persona-Adventure. Many crossovers of DR x Persona write events similar in games, like murder cases in Persona 4, or climbing Tartarus like Persona 3. I think those stories are cool!

But in this case the story is 100% original, so there won't be anything similar played like in the previous games but it's own story and their own development.

There's also major changes for a couple of characters, in this story Hajime and Kyoko will know each other since childhood thanks to Jin.

How that will turn out? Is one of my favorite aspects to write!

I will say that I am writing with my best ability to keep everyone in character and avoid OOC's.

Speaking of that, will I include oc's in this story? The short answer is no. But there is one character that can be considered OC but it actually exists in Canon. Who am I speaking about? Hajime's mother of course.

Hitomi Hinata is my interpretation of Hajime's mother and plays a role in this story, not a major role but still important for our favorite cynical.

Other than that, every major boss, character, side character and confidants will be entirely characters from Danganronpa!

There will also be Persona characters making their appearance every now and then or being referenced, so keep your eyes open or you might miss them, including Persona 1 and 2. Yes I do acknowledge their existence! Haha.

Jokes aside, there will be plenty of Persona references to spot, so let me know if you see them all!

Now final details to touch before we end this post for today.

Romances? Yes. This is Persona, and one key aspect is the option to date who you want. Or build a harem.

I must say, though, this is NOT a harem story.

Think of it as a what if, there's multiple romances routes for you the reader to enjoy and choose your preferred one! ^^

Quick mention but it won't beonly girls but boys too! Hajime is a bi icon, fight me.

And final point, the story is being uploaded in Ao3. It currently has 38 chapters and we are in arc 2!

The story has been on going since 2019 as I mentioned but sadly I had long hiatus from 2021 to 2024 where I barely updated. But thar has change, weekly updates have returned!
