VH1's Hindsight

So I finally got around to watching the episodes of Hindsight on my TV (there's only 2 eps so far). Anyway, I reeeaaalllllyyyy like it. I wasn't really feeling it at first, but after seeing the second episode, I'm really excited to see where this show will go.

And plus, I'm a HUGE lover of the past. Like, I'm obsessed with the 80s and the 90s and the nostalgia that this show provides is absolutely euphoric. It's also really cool that this show is starting at the start of 2015 (I actually first heard of it from a TV commercial on New Years Eve) since 1995 is exactly 20 years ago now.

Also, the fact that it's on VH1 is really cool because I've never seen an actual show on that channel before (...has there been any before?). Aside from the fact that they get to play all this music IN the show (which I'm sure is related to the fact that they're a music channel), I have some pretty fond memories of watching VH1 as a kid, which kinda just amplifies the nostalgia for me.

So basically, I really recommend this show. Mainly I want other people to watch it so I can talk about it with them, LOL. To all my followers: you should definitely give it a shot and let me know what you think of it!

Anyway, I'll put the rest under the cut so that I don't spoil anything for anyone who hasn't watched it yet. I mainly just want to mention who I currently ship and what path I think the show will take. (It's not me if it's not shipping xD)

She was fixated on the past and we could see that her marriage would definitely end up badly (again) if things continued the way they did. So it's good that she's getting this second chance to relive her life.

When she first got back to 1995, I was afraid that she'd get back together with Sean (side note: so many people are infatuated with him--I had to look up who Craig Horner was just to find out why people loved him so much. Turns out he was in H2O...I think I saw an episode of that once. In other words, I have absolutely no bias towards his character). Anyway, like I was saying, I was afraid she'd pick Sean again, even though the whole point of the show was "doing things differently". So, I was glad she didn't end up marrying him.

I was wondering how the show would play out, though. But after watching the second episode I've gotten more excited and I think I have a better understanding of what'll happen. When we saw Becca packing for the honeymoon trip, I was ready to accept them starting their relationship over. I was thinking that maybe the "do-over" thing would be getting their relationship right, and that somehow the new turn of events in this timeline would affect Sean's future and he wouldn't end up being so unhappy and lead to their break-up.

BUT when Andy came in and kissed her the second time (well I guess it's the first time HE kissed her), it was just so great! Okay, for one thing, he totally stopped her from going on the honeymoon trip, like it was fate. Second, it was totally intense and he totally set her on fire.

That was when I realized the direction of the show. She would get to re-do her life, and this time she will get to have the relationship with Andy that she couldn't have in the beginning of the first episode. She'll be able to see that he can set her on fire just as much as Sean can--maybe even more.

That is why I'm excited. Because I WANT to see that happen. I WANT to see her fall in love with Andy and to finally be happy with him. Before, she never really gave him a shot, never truly opened her heart to him, because she was still stuck in the past. Stuck in the "what if?" This is giving her the chance to see the things she wasn't able to before, and to finally address the problems that weighed her down 20 years later.

Of course I could be totally wrong, but this is my impression/hope for the show as of right now.
