@hinge_artist_collective show ‘Veiled’ is now live! the art doll i created for it is titled: “You should smile more” Based on Japanese folklore of Hari onago; a yōkai that wanders streets at night appearing as a beautiful woman who has tiny barbs and hooks hidden on the ends of her hair. She catches her (usually male) prey by smiling at them and if they smile back her hair rips them to shreds. the digital painting is titled: ‘Intent unknown’ Based on Japanese folklore of yūrei. A spirit that is at unrest for not having been given proper farewell, is lost or has unfinished business to attend to.
