Did anybody ever play the rare Purple version of Mega Man Battle Network 3?
I had a dream a long while ago about Dingo and Mr. Match in a post apocalypse setting. Or, seemingly post apocalypse?? Mad Max, Fallout, dieselpunk, that kind of aesthetic. I barely remember the dream by now, but it still lead to me finishing this earlier this year. Finally it comes out of the backlog!
Looking at this again, some of the shading and lighting is definitely... off, lol. But hey, still pretty different from what I normally do, so it was fun to try out stuff, especially with designing their outfits! By the time I got to drawing this, I forgot exactly how they looked, so I used a lot of dieselpunk costumes/outfits to try and come up with something similar to what I could remember.
And at the very least I still really love how the background turned out. :D
Megaman Production Art Scan of the Day #647:
Mr. Match Head Shot + Full Body Character Design Sheet (Revised Edition) [Hinoken ~ New Outfit (Revised)]
Notations include:
- * Navi Crest is attached to the shoulder patch (on both shoulders)
- Color Trace Paint for the highlights on his leather jacket and pants
- Jacket sleeve closed/zipped up
- (Added the Navi Crest to the shoulder patch)
Up next for the week of “Didn’t you already do this?” Well, yes I did, in a Stream batch. But this outfit was also actually in an Axess batch, and unlike the one from 7 months ago, this one has his crest drawn on the shoulder patch. Yep, that’s it. Only difference on this version is a flame and a couple notes mentioning it.

Happy 4/20 everyone…. let’s blaze it
When you’re out to smash the state but your hommies leave you for a chick...
Now that all the chapters of my recent fic are posted, I wanted to make one last promo post for it with all the chapter arts in one post!
So yeah, a MegaMan NT Warrior fan fic (i.e. set in the anime timeline), where the former World Three members have a discussion... about funerals! Specifically which one was the worst funeral each of them has been to, not to mention how the events before and after affected them.
It's 6 whole chapters in my script style! You can read it all over on AO3, go check it out if you're interested! And also thank you in advance if you do decide to read it! :D
This is one of the drawings I had done and in my buffer for a while now. Though admittedly I feel like I don't need the buffer nearly as much since I still keep making BRC and other stuff on the side to post sooner. But hey, at least I have the safety net in case something does happen and I can't do more stuff. ^^;
Anyways! Continuing from the series of angel-related stuff I did a while back, here's Mr. Match as an Angel of Fire!! Why? Honestly just for the hell of it really. :P
I did something different with how the fire was rendered here, basically just using a fire brush and other effects. I keep flipflopping between "The fire turned out great!" and "It turned out awful, I should have scrapped this or redone it with how I normally draw it."
After a certain point, I just kinda have to accept it for what it is, otherwise I'm gonna spend who knows how many hours of redrawing it multiple times until it's finally "perfect". :u
Sorry for the long post, but I put them like this because otherwise if they were side-by-side, some people might right to read them across. Maybe I should switch to a horizontal panel style. :/
But yeah, a short 3 page comic about Double Souls and Lan's strange adventures. He's a magnet for trouble. :P
An aside, the whole "talk in the park" thing was from my Maddy and Match story. Basically Match finally decides to be a good person, and Lan happens to make sure he gets a push in the right direction.
Anyways, I think I may want to refine my toon style a bit more? Maybe? I realize the way I draw hands is still kinda… realistic? Accurate? Which kinda clashes with the style. And it's like, very off-putting as a result, lol.
Or at least it feels that way to me. And it only really happens because my mind is like "No! The hands are wrong, use more accuracy and refs!!" which ends up overcorrecting it. Well, anyways, some practice is clearly in order. :u
