i work at a comic shop and am "looking forward" to seeing that fencing comic every day - i love boom's penchant for pubbing niche-for-comics-industry genres and audiences, and i'm not opposed to women writing m/m stuff in general, but Bad Yaoi Tropes: The Book lady would not have been my first choice

tbh i think at this point issues w her content extend well past ‘bad yaoi tropes’ and have their own can of worms to delve into (racism being one iirc), but like, this comic would be fine if a) she wasnt the author b) she didnt say she was interested in making it gay while also keeping the female gaze in mind.

would it have been so hard to find an actual member of the lgbt community who had an idea for an lgbt sports comic? is that really so rare? why her, why cs “sexual slavery can be p hot” pcat

That would be my guess too, but it flags nearly every post I make on my side blog and they're mostly images of animal characters, many of them not even close to human skin tones. idk what it's finding there! I wonder if it marks some blogs as more likely to contain nsfw content? Like if it's detected the furry nature of this blog and assumes I'm posting The Nasties, which I'm NOT, because my internet brand is SFW, THANK you tumblr!!!
