hyperacusis vs misophonia?
I've had (officially) hyperacusis for quite a while now, and being on here I stumbled over the term "misohponia", and naturally I started investigating about it. As far as I've been able to understand, misophonia is selective disconfort of sounds and hyperacusis is not selective and also causes pain?
I can't understand the difference, I'm not trying to be rude or insensitive or anything, i just would like for someone with misophonia (or misophonia and hyperacusis) to explain the difference to me, please?
