Honored to be apart of #16daysofactivism This November, the Mayor’s Office to Combat Domestic Violence (OCDV) and the Commission on Gender Equity (CGE), will host an art exhibit that showcases visual art pieces about gender‐based violence. This exciting exhibit will take place during the City’s annual observance of the global campaign, 16 Days of Activism against Gender‐Based Violence. And I am so honored to be apart and so Thankful they chose to showcase my Documentary #HipHopsAbandonedSon curated and created by me, It took a few weeks to create but it was amazing to take a trip down memory lane while sharing my story with you all! Plus I’m Super Hype about the Q&A after where I’ll be answering questions and revealing things you’ve never known about myself! 🧡 + This groundbreaking campaign seeks to raise awareness and inspire action at the community level to end violence against girls, women, transgender, and gender non‐conforming persons. Our goal is to provide a platform for diverse artists who create work about gender‐based violence and its impact on individuals, families, and communities. The theme of the exhibit is “Response and Resiliency” and will explore how people move forward from or respond to acts of gender‐based violence committed against them or others. https://www.instagram.com/p/BqDVzSLhHhd/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=x2e9pzssp36o
