The view from the stage of the historic Hippodrome Theater, which served as the cultural epicenter of Jackson Ward both during the 20s and 30s during the Harlem Renaissance and 2nd Street, or "The Deuce," was considered the Harlem of the South, as well as the 50s and 60s as a movie palace. The theater has been beautifully and tastefully renovated to its former glory preserving many of its 1920s architectural and aesthetic details, as well as upfitted with the latest digital lighting, sound, and technology for upscale events.
