It's Hipster Xmas Eve!
Tomorrow is Hipster Christmas (because by the 25th, it's mainstream) which makes today Hipster Christmas Eve.
So hang your stockings (that were knit with wool from free-range, grass fed sheep), and go to sleep with visions of (local and organic) sugar plums in your head, because tomorrow is a big day.
And in case you missed it, make sure you follow our 20 Steps to a Successful Hipster Christmas.
Hipster Christmas Party Snack: Mustachioed Christmas Tree Sugar Cookies.
Sugar cookies are a standard at every holiday party, but standard is a hipster crime. But add mustaches to your Christmas trees, and they'll get the hipster seal of approval.
Thanks to Jeanine of Small Indulgences for the recipe.
Mustachioed Christmas Tree Sugar Cookies.
What you’ll need:
1 cup butter 1 cup sugar 1 egg 1 tsp vanilla 2 tsp baking powder 3 cups flour Green food coloring Fondant icing, colored black
What you’ll do:
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg and vanilla, and add to the butter and sugar.
In another large bowl, whisk together the baking powder and flour, and add to the butter mixture, 1/3 at a time, combining well between each.
Add a few drops of green food coloring and mix, until the desired color is achieved. Keep in mind the finished baked cookies will be lighter in color than the dough.
Lightly flour a clean surface and roll the dough, about 1/8” thick.
Lightly flour the edge of a tree-shaped cookie cutter, and cut the dough into shapes.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and place cut out shapes on the paper.
Bake for 6-7 minutes, or until the edges begin to brown slightly.
Once cooled, shape black fondant into mustaches and attach to cookies with a dab of water.

Hipster Christmas Activity: White Elephant Gift Exchange
Others may call this Christmas gift exchange a Yankee Swap, Dirty Santa, Thieving Elves, Grinch Exchange, or Nasty Christmas. But hipsters know better - this game is called a White Elephant (because white elephants are the least mainstream of all elephants).
Not sure how it works? Well, here are the details.
