The daughter of Komaru and Hirota, Yuna could best be described as a complete and utter cinnamon roll. While she often acts mature for her age, having picked up plenty of therapist terminology from her father, she's yet to really grasp what it means. Nevertheless, she's very sweet and tries to help people whenever they seem down.

Her parents met while Komaru was 21, in her second year of university and Hirota was a licensed therapist. He'd been feeling a bit burned out and Komaru decided to help cheer him up, which led to them becoming friends and later to a romantic relationship.

While her family had some reservations about it, given that Hirota was already in his mid-20's, he swore Komaru's happiness was important to him and he'd never hurt her. He ultimately got along well with the family, and waited until Komaru had graduated and found a career to propose to her.

They got married in early 2020 and later had Yuna. She's had a pretty normal childhood, with her dad still working as a therapist and her mother a wedding planner who's also a spirit medium on the side.

Although she's also claimed to have "friends" that nobody else can see...

Nijiue Emina disgusts me. I was there, I saw how much of an egotist she really is. Thanks to her, so many criminals got away. People got hurt, and mom and I have been trying to help them.

Honestly, now I’m glad I never accepted that Hope’s Peak letter I got.

Yeah, they wanted me to be the Ultimate Therapist, but I turned them down. Mom’s told me enough about that school, I wanted nothing to do with them. Looks like I made the right call.

I’m happy just being able to help people, especially now. And as serious as this investigation is for everyone, I think it’s a sign that Japan’s finally on the right path for change.

Yeah, I heard about that. I'm so sorry for anyone in that class who had to deal with him.
