holding byakuya's hand is sooooo vulnerable for him i imagine because yes he is a swordsman but that puts him at odds with the appearance he maintains. everything he does appears effortless but the single most obvious proof that it isn't are his hands. the rough callouses, thick padded skin is unbefitting of a noble but something any swordsman might take a small bit of pride in. when he holds your hand in his he is trusting you with both of his identities.
