I've always been a bigger fan of the lobby's non-AU content. I know people enjoy AU mostly because of the group and vibes, but the game itself is so… boring, buggy, and repetitive. It's worn out its welcome for me. Even when the lobby plays a clone, it's hard for me to watch. Unfortunately, we'll probably never get a non-AU related lobby any time soon, especially since Steve is in non-gaming mood and 5up rarely streams (lol). Despite getting little to no credit ever, Steve, 5up, and Gumi did do most of the lobby organizing for other content. I also remember Steve saying they stopped doing Gartic lobbies because some of them didn't like the game and it stressed them out.

that’s very much valid… i perfectly understand people being done with watching among us, and i believe it’s kind of a common feeling among people in the fandom (i use this term loosely since there’s not that many of us lmao). i think i’m in the minority when i say that i genuinely still enjoy the game. maybe it’s not that i enjoy the game per se, but i enjoy watching them and their dynamics. i’d watch them play anything honestly and idk what that says about me kkjwdnbfak. even that one time they tried villainy was quite fun! but i totally get the sentiment, you probably just need to take a break from their content i guess. i only started watching them again around september, so i had a period of time from 2022-2025 when i was on a total among us ban, which probably did wonders for my brain lmao.

but yeah you’re so right, we should give steve, gumi and 5up their flowers for organizing stuff. and while we’re at it, where’s gumi been…? i’ve missed her so much in the morning lobby, like we seriously need more women here fr

I miss crewfu gartic phone more than I could ever admit (this is a prompt to bring up 2021 gartic phone)

dude don’t even get me started with gartic phone😭😭😭 those streams will always hit just as hard now as when was watching them live. like i’ve rewatched the gartic phone videos on both hafu and 5up’s yt channels a gazillion times and i’m left with tears in my eyes every time without fail.

i think part of the appeal is that they didn’t play it too much, so the novelty of it was still there (for us and for them too). the running gag of everyone making up prompts relating to steve was my favorite thing for sure. truly the main character! they love him so bad! but let’s not forget how truly amazing and horrifying his drawings were. the one i can (unfortunately) vividly picture in my mind is the one about janet pooping. lovely stuff. there were so many fun inside jokes at the time so it was the perfect game for them to make up stupid ass prompts. anyone remember the ‘5up always being late’ bit? or dk only being able to draw stuff using the shapes tool? we were fed so well during those times…

i don’t think they would play it again but i would kill to see it happen with this current morning lobby group. and while we’re at it let’s bring back codenames and golf with friends please please please🙏

I don't know if you're keeping up with the 'Kuno situation at all but every new detail that drops is worst than the last and has completely tanked my view of him. His presence has soured OTV, The Roomies, and even the Morning Lobby because of his association. The deception in the streaming space is too gross to think about and now that man has developed an incel-like following who keep praising him.

oh gosh i saw someone on youtube talk about the situation and i genuinely wish i was more surprised. i’m not someone who thinks cheating in itself is the worst thing a person can do, nor that it should be broadcasted for everyone to judge, but this case is so so much more than that and just fucked up man. he’s a coward and a weirdo and i feel horrible for all the women involved.

i don’t wanna be one of those people that’s like “i saw it coming all along!” but damn i just don’t like any of the people in that group, with all the weirdos that came out of it. and i’m side-eyeing everyone around them, including janet and steve! granted, you’re not responsible for your friends’ actions but it comes to a point…..

Steve wouldn't know or care about those stats if his CHAT (especially the regulars) didn't keep bringing it and that channel up to him. He literally only acknowledged it because people wouldn't stop asking him about it, and he then used it as a way to keep him "motivated' in playing the game because he was burnt out and too distracted. AU Academy took advantage of that. Unfortunately, there was also a time when DD's youtube comment section was similarly toxic but at least DD has called chatters out on stream for taking the game too seriously and to stop feeling comfortable insulting his friends. It didn't help that the British boys made AU/Bait their official AU editor years ago and 5up/DK actually have commented on AU vids a few times.

I don't think any of them are aware of how weird Bait/AU can be and has been in the past. He actually does act like he's entitled to using all their content whenever he wants. He only switched up because Youtube started striking down and demonetizing channels that reposted unoriginal content without consent, so he added "commentary."

yeah i’ve heard steve’s chat can be ummm… interesting even now. back in the day i actually enjoyed observing them in their natural habitat.

i personally never peeked into dd’s comment section but i’m sure the people there aren’t exactly the nicest to other streamers. i do have a lot of respect for him since, like you said, he sometimes goes on rants calling out his chat. the guy has a backbone and i think more streamers should take a page out of his book!

tbh at the beginning, i don’t think any of them thought au academy would go this far. like at this point it’s been years of him being a leech and fostering such a hateful whimsy-less audience.

AU Academy has always been the leading reason that 5up/Hafu/Gumi (and Wolfabelle, tbh) got so much unnecessary hate and why so many viewers take the content so seriously, especially with the stat stuff. AU fans have always been unbearably intense, but he gave them a place to congregate and would actively fuel drama at times while stealing... sorry... "editing" the lobby's content for financial gain. He would also try to push his agenda on the fanbase and get them to bug the lobby.

i think i’ve made my stance on this guy pretty clear. he’s a weirdo trying to milk this group for all they’ve got. i wasn’t really aware of his existence until i got back into crewfu around september, and since then i had to block his content from my yt feed cause i was sick and tired of seeing his migraine-inducing ai bullshit thumbnails.

he’s literally the “bro thinks he’s part of the team” meme and it’s pathetic. i was hoping the lobby was over mentioning the stats but steve did it a couple of weeks ago and that made me do a full body shudder.

i don’t understand how people still watch him after seeing the kind of environment he’s fostered in his comment sections. but i guess there will always be losers who care more about making up drama in this uncharacteristically unproblematic group of streamers than watching the creators’ own content and supporting them.

i’m glad i wasn’t around that part of yt at the time of the wolfabelle situation cause seeing how prevalent the “gumi is a cheater” and “5up is washed” discourse is in his comments, i can’t even imagine how bad that must’ve been.

and the situation becomes even more pathetic when you remember this is all happening over FUCKASS AMONG US. truly unserious.

I hate to say it, but I don’t think 5up is as washed as people think. Don’t get me wrong, he’s definitely been dumb lately, but I don’t think he’s necessarily washed. I just think that he’s not taking the game as seriously and wants to mess with his friends more.

Which is nice, even Apollo is chilling out, he’s just naturally competitive.
