David was a bit taken aback by the young woman’s harsh, though he kept a kind grin upon his face. “Yo sure about that? There’s a storm brewing later on tonight.”

This guy seems to be way too compliant...but so long as I get that medicine, I don't give a damn.

"Fucking clickers..."
He said pulling his knife from the infected's fungal crown. He thought the slushy, early winter forest would be safe to trek through but he didn't expect to find a winter resort with more than a couple infected roaming it. He didn't feel comfortable exploring it but he was low on supplies, it wasn't really an option at this point.
He walked into a nearby cabin, they all looked pretty ransacked already but it was worth a shot. As soon as he closed the door behind him he could hear some shuffling coming from one of the bedrooms. he suspected another infected. He readied his knife and began slowly heading towards the noise.
(hisnameisdavid) "Give me the rag, and no one will get hurt."
Riley glanced at the man before her and narrowed her eyes. "Why should I?"

"Yeah?" With a flick of her wrist, the blade of her knife extended, the tip pointed toward the hunter.
"Back the fuck off or you'll be missing one of em."

There was refuge to the north. It was the popular story being passed around. Who'd started the rumour was a mystery, but he'd heard it enough times from the mouths of fellow survivors to start wondering. He'd never allow himself the false hope of shelter, but he hadn't the heart to correct these people either. What they did on their own time was none of his business.
As it happened he was travelling north. Not for some vaunted shelter in some undetermined location, but mostly to just get away from it all. He fell in with a group of travellers. Safety in numbers was how he was playing it right now. The others knew to leave him alone, it was something about the scowl or the way he held himself that kept them at bay, which suited him just fine.
They stopped somewhere between Utah and Colorado. There were friends here, according to one of the members of the group. People who'd let them rest a while and resupply before they'd continue their trek. He didn't argue the point so long as no one was shooting at him then he was fine with just about anything.
The town was small, but he was amazed by the number of women and children around, almost as if he were back in a QZ. There were no military about, but there were certainly enough armed men around to make him uneasy. Introductions began and he reluctantly stepped up, holding out a hand as he scrutinized the supposed leader of this community. “Joel,” he muttered. “Appreciate you for letting us rest up a while.”

"Fuck!" Luke yelled, dodging yet another swipe from a runner and diving behind yet another boulder in an attempt to dodge a clicker that had strayed from the pack. He felt it clawing at his sleeve and heard the fabric tear before he managed to slip away without a bite. Fuck, fuck, he thought as he ran. The runners and clicker followed effortlessly, unbothered by a silly need for proper oxygen intake and tiring muscles. There were too many after him for him to fight; flight was his only option. Except that one was exhausting itself quickly. He couldn't do this. He needed a group to run back to, allies in the trees, an invisible line to cross before bullets rained down on the monsters chasing him. But he was alone. Painfully and utterly alone.
