Dark painted lips pressed against the warm flesh of Hisoki’s cheek. Her hand trailing down his shoulder to his clothed chest. Chuckling sweetly as she pressed her cheek to his. The bottle she took from one of the servants pressed against her back. Like a surprise as her golden serpent eyes glanced down at the papers with little interest. “Is missing you not reason enough?” The duchess purred, teasing him as her hand trailed closer to his neck. Talons barely taking hold before sliding down. Black nails gently ran across his skin as she boldly slide her hand through his robes. Feeling the unburned flesh of his chest before settling over his heart.
“It has been so long, like you have forgotten about me.” The demoness’s words filed with fake sorrow. Seeking a desired reaction. Moving the bottle from behind her back and reaching over him to put it on the wooden surface. Her other hand now free, fingers barely touched as she trailed down the length of his arm. Lips once more pressed against his cheek and then to his neck. Taking in his lovely scent. The false perfume of a mortal shell not gone. Now spicy sweet to her senses.
Aanrietta too know the pains of rulership of a realm. Hisoki was in need of a court, find subjects that could be molded and forced into submission through fear so that they would not betray you. To believe you were the better master, as there were ones far worse. Their souls were hers to do with as she pleased. Aanrietta was a selfish creature and she wanted Hisoki more to herself. For his attention to be on her. For him to adore her for as long as she could ensnare him. Before that dreaded phase of wanting nothing to so with her. Be it centuries or more. Aanrietta knew it would happen. Perhaps even feared it.

Blood splattered across the face of the Mad Duchess. The smell of iron and gore a delicious perfume. The bodies and lifeblood of the fools of Orderrealm littered the floor as her magic's and cruel and amused laughter filled the room. So enraptured in the chaos, so blinded by her blood lust and feasting of souls that she knew not of the cowardly minion of order. Of a blade seeking righteous revenge. Yet her laughter was indeed cut short as a force pushed her. Anger boiled in her blood, his words rang within her ears. The sound of steal meeting flesh and of the sharp, brief pain in her back as she was shoved away.
A sharp gasp of air left her lips from the impact. The smell of corrupted, demon ichor slowly dawned upon her as her gaze settled upon the hunched figure of Hisoki. Wounded, bleeding as Aanrietta let out a wave of violet energy towards the order solider and to the rest of its kin as their minds were shredded and broken. Melting in a liquid essence that made their last moments of existence agonizing.
Clawed fingers came to touch the blood that stained the flesh upon her cheek. Her serpent stare gazing down at the twisted blood as she fought the urge to taste it. Instead, her gaze turned to that of her foolish, foolish Hisoki. Brave, loyal Hisoki - her foolish beloved. The Mad Queen came to approach the form of her demon love almost coldly. Or perhaps filled with remains of a silent anger as her dark clad form came to him. A hand pressing to his wounded side, drawing a hiss from him as the other touched upon his cheek. Beckoning him to stare into her blazing golden gaze.
"My brave, beloved Hisoki." Aanrietta spoke with softness as she drew upon the souls that had yet to be consumed. "My love, my savior." She praised as her lips come to ghost over his. Feeding him the rich souls to sustain him. Make him whole as she pressed her forehead against his.
"You are mine."

Akari wasn’t quite sure how to respond to such words, brow in a furrow whilst she stopped amidst of grinding down some dried herbs. “Hisoki” she spoke softly, gesturing for the young man to sit across from her, shifting ever so slightly to grab a pot of tea for them. It hadn’t taken the woman long, and so she sat down once more and began pouring two cups.
“I will be honest with you, I am unaware of what to say in such a situation, but what I can offer is some soothing words” Akari began, offering the other a cup before taking a long sip from her own. “Don’t think of this as being solely your fault, or even a curse upon you. In your line of work, it is bound to happen, and you are going to see death around you every waking day, night. This is just how life works, how choosing the life of an assassin has given you”

The woman watched, a cloaked figure, veiled and whos presence radiated wrongness. A tail, long, boney and tipped with a long blade curled around her legs. “A façade forged by expectation, mortal morals and desires. A chain - a leash that binds you to what human demands - normal and mundane.” Voice hollow, whispery as if she could barely utter words. Like a person who’s throat had been slit yet still rendered them able to speak. “To conform or die. A stain.”
The air was cold as death itself. Unnatural and terrifying. Perhaps his time had come, an Aspect of Death looming over him. Taunting him with the knowledge that his end was near. “One such as yourself deserves no such joys. The one who you claim and claw to be. But we know what stains your soul, fouls your blood and taints your skin. You suffer yet you could be happy.”
The creaking, cracking like ice eerily made its melody known as the cloaked woman rose an arm, offering a hand clawed and delicate. Rot had settling upon the appendage. “Accept this blessing that those who have harmed you call a curse. Accept the gift I bestowed upon you, your destiny and stand beside me - your rightful mother.”

The Duchess smiled as she felt the warmth of hands wrap around her body, pulling her closer to him. Gazing at him through the large mirror glass with her feline eyes half open. A chuckle escaping her as she reached behind her, a talon hand brushing through his hair. "Jealous are we?" Aanrietta inquired. Having shown interest in a mortal. Playing with his pathetic feelings, feeding off his growing madness as she teased him.
Wearing the face of his beloved, departed wife. It was all too easy, so simple and so amusing. But he was not a simple man, a king in a backwater realm. While not the most powerful she had ever sampled. He was the most rich, having lavished her in beautiful gifts. The dress and the jewels she wore currently were all gifts. The rings, the necklaces and the his deceased queen's diadem.
"Marvelous aren't they?" A teasing question as she admired her newly gifted rings.

Within the haze of this dream. Of the mortal’s dreams that twisted and turned, becoming nightmares. Until all he knew was night terrors and pain. Like sunlight peering through parting clouds, she dispelled the nightmares. Soothing his terror and pain, to rest and dream. To dream as he used too. Wonderous dreams.
You must resist her…
The rustle of leaves within his dream. The crimson garden a familiarity to him as a small, dragon whelpling rested on a branch. Scales of gleaming emeralds with eyes shut. Shifting as if seeing many things. An innocent creature, just as he. The devil that sought to twist his soul, draw forth the poison. Hungry, greedy claws of chaos. She came as a messenger of ill warning, to cease and cast away the serpent before it bites.
She will only bring suffering…offer love and retribution…do not fall for the snare of the Mad One.
A warning to heed. Yet it was his choice in the end. To embrace and accept the serpents kiss or remain absolute. Greatly has he suffered and been wronged. Cursed unfairly yet in his dreams and soul. She saw a golden ray of hope - the goodness within.
