The Hamilton-Turner Inn, Savannah, GA, was built in 1873 as an elegant mansion for Samuel Pugh Hamilton, known as “The Lord of Lafayette Square.”  In 1883 it became the first residence in Savannah with electric lights.  It was renovated and converted to a small luxury hotel in 1997.  It is said to be haunted and may have been the inspiration for Walt Disney’s Haunted Mansion attraction at Disney World.
