She dies this Friday.
She was an heroine. A true strong woman who fought for the futur of all women in France.
She was an intellectual, a politician, a survivor, a sword and a shield for women’s rights when abortion was a shame. She was a witness of the true horror during the WWII but she was also the voice of the reconciliation. She was the voice of a hope for an harmony thanks to the UE. She was the first woman president of the european parliement. She won the right of abortion in spite of all the insults she could hear during her campaign.
She was a fighter and now she is - and forever- a french symbol, and an historical symbol that can inspired every woman in every country.
Thanks Simone Veil. Thank you for everything. You’re an example.
