Warnings: None, pure fluff.

He’s the type to tease you relentlessly —without being mean about it—. He loves the little expression you make whenever he teases you about being bad at some video game or how weakly you punched him while trying boxing with him. Although, if he notices somebody else teasing you the way he does, or in a mean way, he’d totally glare at them with that “watch it” expression.

Not really the jealous type but he might be protective over you. He fully trusts you to handle any other man that approaches you, but it doesn’t mean that he trusts men. If he notices someone who doesn’t take the hint while you’re obviously uncomfortable? he’d step in. Not loud, but quietly. Sliding an arm around waist and sizing up whoever was leaning a bit too much. Introducing himself as your boyfriend and offering a firm handshake. He’d stay right there by your side to make sure that they don’t cross any lines.

He’s not overly affectionate in public, but he has the need to be touching you —even if it’s intertwining your fingers, hugging your shoulders while walking or placing his hand in your lower back to guide you gently—, he probably wouldn’t kiss your lips in front of people. But he’d kiss your temple or forehead in a soft reassurance of him being right by your side.

Adding to the past one, he loves physical reassurance after a long day. Not even necessarily cuddling. Sometimes he just needs to lean against you while you’re both on the couch, your legs touching as you scroll through your phones. If you’ve been apart for a while, he’d instinctively reach for your hand the second you’re close enough, like his body naturally looks for yours.

If you and his mother get along well he’d literally be in heaven. Whenever you’re over, he’d just watch you and his mom talking and laughing. Even if you two are plotting against him, he’d still look at you with that fond smile of his.

He always takes care of you, if you’re sick or not feeling well, he’d be stubborn for you to let him take care of you. He wouldn’t let you get up from bed. He’d order takeout —because even if he tried with all his efforts, he cannot make a proper soup— and make sure you take your pills until your eyes are as bright as before. If the case is you feeling down —personal problems or just a bad day— he’d drop everything and just offer quiet support. Sitting next to you, offering to have a movie night or just cuddle while listening to some music.

One of his favorite things are late-night drives. He just loves those moments when he’s driving and you’re singing off-key to whatever playlist you chose. The calming night, with stars shining far away and your bright smile just makes him feel at ease. Whenever you lean toward him while belting out a high note he’d shake his head with a chuckle, remembering why he chooses you everyday, why you’re his person.

Whenever you two argue, he’d convince himself that giving you space is the right thing to do, even though every part of him wants to fix things immediately. He’d spend hours wondering if he should text you, replaying the argument in his head and thinking about everything he should’ve said differently. Eventually, he’d cave—not because he wants to win the argument, but because the silence between you hurts more than his pride ever could.

He notices EVERYTHING about you. You two went out and you didn’t bring a coat? he’d probably have one on his car because he knows you’re reckless like that. And if he doesn’t have one kept for you? he shrugs off his own and puts it around your shoulders without a word.

Miguel would complain about you stealing his hoodies, but inside? He adores seeing you wearing his clothes. The fabric swallowing your figure because it’s obviously too big for you, how whenever you decide to give them back it’d still smell faintly like you, a comforting mix of your perfume and laundry detergent.

He’s a mess in the kitchen, so when you’re in his house for a movie night or sleepover, you’re in charge of making the food. He tries to help you but always ends up making a mess of the smallest tasks, so you send him away to pick the movie you’ll watch —and he’d reluctantly leave, because despite of how much he wants to be useful, he knows better than to stress you when it comes to food.

He’s surprisingly patient with you. Always. If you two were going out at 4 P.M. and by 4:30 you’re still putting mascara on? He’d just lean on the doorframe and watch you get ready without a problem. If at the mall you stop by every cute thing or are indecisive about which lipstick shade to buy? He’ll just stand next to you, sharing his opinion if asked. If not, then he’d just hold your bag and wait until you decide for one or both.

Without wanting to, he gets a little shy when you compliment him. Tease him all you want, he’ll fire right back. But tell him he looks handsome? Suddenly he’s scratching the back of his neck, smiling to himself and stuttering out a quiet ‘thank’. The tips of his ears betray him every single time.

He’s the type to remember EVERYTHING about you. You told him months ago you didn’t like a certain vegetable? He’d personally make sure you don’t see it in your food again. You said your favorite candy was almost sold out in your usual store? He’d buy it whenever he saw it, if he didn’t? Miguel would make sure he finds it. It comes natural by now, you say something small? it’s a huge deal for him, his brain automatically registers everything you say and the thought would pop out even if you’re not around.

A competitive man, even with you. Whether it’s Mario Kart, bowling or a random card game, he suddenly acts like it’s the championship finals. He talks a big game beforehand too, promising he’s going to destroy you. He definitely doesn’t go easy on you. But if you actually beat him? He’ll sit there in disbelief for a second before demanding a rematch, insisting the first round “didn’t count.”

His love language is acts of service. If your phone battery is dying, somehow his charger is already in your hand. Your car needs gas? He filled it up. He’s not the best with grand romantic speeches, but he’s constantly trying to make your day easier.

He’s a listener before he’s a talker. If you’re rambling about a book you just finished or telling him every little detail about your day, he’ll let you speak without interrupting. He might throw in a teasing comment here and there, but most of the time he’s simply watching you with the softest smile, thinking about how lucky he is that you always choose to tell him everything first.
