Fresh coffee? Don’t mind if he does, thank you very much. Everything previously holding his attention is set aside in favor of the hot beverage. The scent alone is making him hungry for it. He takes a big gulp before deciding to respond, leaning back in his own seat. “You look like hell.” Sound like hell, actually. The question causes him to snort, a hand absentmindedly rubbing at stubble jaw thoughtfully. Like that question needed pondering over. “More so than you, I’d say, When’s the last time you got some damn shuteye, Finitzer? Nothing’s important enough to forgo it entirely.”

“It’s my natural state.”

He gulped down his own coffee. Morrison actually did look rested for once, as far as Fritz could tell with those glasses on. The German scrubbed a hand down his face as he let out a hollow laugh.

“Please crack open my head and tell that to my brain. Maybe it’ll listen to you.”

More coffee still was washed down as he contemplated an answer.

“I think... maybe seven hours in the past two days? I think I built up a tolerance to my current medication. Oh shit-”

Fritz threw his head back at the sudden and unpleasant realization before tugging a discarded tablet from the next table.

“Next mission ships out today, fuuuck. Do you have the roster? Please tell me I’m not on it, I might actually die.”

Didn’t he join as a teen though? But, yes. For the largest part he was def. a grown ass man in blackwatch and people shouldn’t cling to a internal youth thing for him when looking back at his blackwatch time

“You need to be more careful.” Lips thinned as she spoke, eyeing the man before her with a shake of her head. There were no grievous injuries as far as she could tell but that didn’t stop her tone from veering into frustrated territory. She needed her coffee. “Throw caution to the wind enough times and not even I will be able to fix the consequences.”
