Throwback Thursday to my 2002 painting “The Hitchhiking Hobo”. I can’t believe than in a week from today I will be back on the road! Obviously I won’t be hitchhiking like I could in my early 20s, as probably nobody would pick me up anymore, in this exaggeratedly afraid world. I wonder if hitchhiking will ever be a thing anymore, or if activities where you open yourself up to strangers like that are dead (hopefully not). Anyways, this painting was inspired on the tarot card “The Fool”, who throws caution into the wind to take a leap of faith to find his destiny. Flying back to Peru to do my retreat and then spend winter with my parents is a bit of a leap of faith, as there is always the possibility that borders could close again at some point and I could get stuck there. But I can’t let fear of a negative outcome get in the way of positive outcomes. If I do get grounded there, I’ll accept it as what’s meant to be. In general I want to keep living life in the fullest way possible, as to keep manifesting the best future for myself n thus others. To hide in my Montréal apartment all cold winter makes no sense, so I have to follow my heart, my instincts and the sun (which has always been a symbol of God to me). I know my intentions are pure, so I will be protected and safe on my path. I will continue my shamanic work in the jungle which is an important part of the art and work I do, to help make this world a better place. I also wish you all blessings on this upcoming winter, hopefully doing what is healthier for your self and your spiritual growth, whatever that may be! #followyourheart #hithhiking #travelling #theroad #sungod #instincts #perubound #queserasera #freedom (at Montreal, Quebec) https://www.instagram.com/p/CHfyVfgsW9m/?igshid=1rjjays33fvv8
