This German bunker at Pleinmont near the southwest tip of Guernsey, Channel Islands, was part of Hitler's Atlantic Wall. The Germans occupied undefended Guernsey in June 1940 and in 1944 the Allies bypassed it to avoid the loss of British civilian lives.
