A hitched breath in and a sharp breath out. Usually, Tara tried to mask a brave face- every so often weakness would slip from the cracks. It wasn't even weakness; just a breaking point. Something had to give.
"Thanks, Kal." She slapped his leg and gave an appreciated squeeze. "Really. Thanks." Something about him was calming. And Tara would never forget his warm, comforting eyes.
