for the hittwins au i can see maybe one of the pines twins (probably mabel) making a deal with bill. maybe to save another person, or the other sibling?

Bills a human in this au jsyk.

But yeah I could see them making some kind of deal with him in the human sense of the word. He’d probably find it interesting. 

I wonder what he’d ask for in return though...?

have you done a character design for mabel yet for hittwins? and tbh i cant really see her willingly hurting anybody unless it was out of self defense??

booyah! tho those designs are suuuper old at this point and in need of some polishing.

That’s fair, but for the sake of the au it’s just how she was raised. It’s a major point of her character that she doesn’t really want to be a hitman forever, though. 

from this: Dipper is a lot more okay with things than Mabel. Mabel puts on a show of not caring (Making morbid jokes, knitting sweaters with blood spatter patterns, etc.), but deep down it really bothers her. She doesn’t want to make her living that way.

She’s good at it and willing to let Stan train her, but she doesn’t intend to continue past learning. The only kills she takes are those over the course of training. She doesn’t feel too bad about them, though, since Stan gives them marks who have done really bad things.

I saw that Bill is a free agent in this AU-can you expand a little more on his role?

Bill is a hitman in the sense that it isn’t murder if you get paid. He enjoys what he does and he’s good at it. He’s smart about the jobs he takes, but isn’t all that picky. 

He kind of exists as a bit of an enigma. A lone hitman with no family ties whatsoever is a hitman begging to be arrested. Bill’s just really good at what he does because he’d probably be killing people regardless. He’s pretty much fearless, and taunts the police with coded messages with information like where to find dead bodies and such. (which is why he’s only known as Cipher)

His existence in the story is to be something threatening to the twins. Every other Hitman in the story is one that can’t kill them without extremely serious repercussions. He scares the heck out of Stan, because he can and would happily slaughter Dipper and Mabel for a nice paycheck.

extra info: he’s actually only 18 years old and lives in an abandoned building in the woods

Does ford fit in at all in hittwins?

He was actually the child Filbrick wanted in charge of the family. He trained him constantly, and Ford was one of the best. Stanley got the second hand training. Late nights in pillow forts with his twin teaching him how to load a gun. Boxing lessons at the local rec centre. Con Artist skills he picked up from his mom. Special days where Filbrick let him sit in on Fords lessons. He had the grit and street smarts that killing for a living takes. 

Ford was a good hitman, but he just lacked the ambition. He liked science and art. 

Stan was there to impress. He put every bit of himself into being good at the only thing his dad cared about. 

In their late 20s Ford died, (hit gone wrong) and Stan inherited the title of heir. He finally got what he wanted, but in the end it wasn’t really worth it.

What's Stans relationship like with the kids in hittwins? Would he be upset if neither of them wanted to continue the family work?

Stan tries to be distant, but is actually a huge softy and loves the heck out of his kids. He’s their primary caretaker on top of being their mentor, so it’s hard for him to keep professional with them. He worries that him being too soft with them is going to get them hurt one day.

Would he be upset? Yeah, of course he would. But he’d accept and respect their decision. (God knows he’s lost enough to this life.) The only problem would be finding someone to take up the pines family name when he’s gone. He’d give the title to Soos, but Soos is in line to be the head of the Ramirez’s. They aren’t actually hitmen, but cleaners who take care of crime scenes for the Pines family. (He hears Soos’s girlfriend is pretty respectable for a free agent though...)

okay i was thinking about those “alternative scouting badges” and im just

i bet stan made badges like that for the kids in hittwins like dipper and/or mabel wants to be a scout but stans worried about their safety and just makes his own scout troupe for the two of them
